A stressing issue on Optoma projector is when you get the no signal sign on the screen. Many forums and pages will yell you this is just a software reset or clean the port with a toothbrush blah blah blah.

Nothing works. why?

The issue is in most cases the controller for the HDMI on the motherboard. The port cannot detect a signal from the HDMI port because the controller is dead. 

In the top image on this page we are replacing the controller for the HDMI ports on the motherboard.

Sometimes its a little transistor, or even a loose port but in most cases its the controller. 

This is why your HDMI ports are not working on your projector.
